Introduction
The kumquat is a citrus fruit that comes from the Citrus Japonica plant. It is a small, oval-shaped fruit with orange, smooth, shiny skin. The kumquat has its origin in the Far East. Today, it is grown mainly in Israel and other Mediterranean countries.

Consumption
Naturally, it is eaten in its entirety, with the skin included, which is very refreshing. It is also used in the preparation of jams to which it will provide an acidic touch in addition to the pectin it contains, which will improve the texture of the jam.
