Introduction
The strawberry, from the Rosaceae family, is heart-shaped, bright red in color and has succulent flesh. Its taste, smell and aroma are exquisite. The pigmentation of its skin is very striking, and its presence is spectacular, especially when it is mature, when it is deep red. There are numerous varieties, but we must highlight 2 groups of strawberries: the forest strawberry, which is a wild fruit; and the cultivated strawberry, larger than the previous one. The strawberry is available all year round.

The main producing countries are: Spain, Italy, France, Holland, Morocco, Israel, South Africa, Argentina and Chile.
Properties
The strawberry has a high content of vitamins B, C and carbohydrates, it is also a very healthy fruit. It is recommended for various health problems, such as gastritis, and has diuretic properties.
Consumption
Tasting a fresh ripe strawberry is a gift from nature. It is also used in the preparation of desserts, juices and cocktails, as well as for jams.
Conservation
Strawberries are kept in the refrigerator. It is advisable, if they are ripe, to consume them quickly after buying them.
