The origin of the lime is located in the Malaysian archipelago, but currently its cultivation extends to Asia, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, the Florida peninsula and the Caribbean area.

This tropical fruit is very rich in vitamin C. It is also a highly recommended food for the prevention of cancer and scurvy. It is also very effective against coughs, neck pain and all the usual flu symptoms. The lime is a fruit without fat or cholesterol, low in calories, and contains a lot of fiber.
