The limequat is a citrus fruit similar to lime. It is a cross between a species of dwarf orange (Fortunilla margarita) with lime (Citrus aurantiifolia). Its green skin protects a very juicy and refreshing pulp.
Origin
Originally from China, it grows in Japan, Israel, Spain, Malaysia, the UK and the USA.
Properties
The limequat provides a very high content of vitamin C, as well as calcium, iron, protein and fiber.
Consumption
