Introduction
It is a tender solid shoot, green, long and with a very special flavor, not excessively spicy and that does not repeat on you as is customary in garlic.
Origin
Garlic has been cultivated since time immemorial and its origin is usually located in Siberia. Throughout its history its consumption has been highly appreciated by Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. It is currently consumed throughout the world, and is cultivated mainly in Asia.
Properties
With valuable antiseptic properties, and thanks to its content of vitamin C, iodine, phosphorus and vitamin B6, it is a natural antibiotic to relieve colds, reduce cholesterol, detoxify the body by purifying toxins that the liver cannot process, and facilitate digestions by stimulating gastric acids.
Consumption
It is usually eaten thinly sliced and served as a salad with vegetables. It is also used as an alternative to garlic in minced meat or fish cakes, sautéed or grilled, much like green asparagus.
Conservation
They must be kept in a cool, dry and ventilated place without direct contact with a heat source, and safe from sudden changes in temperature.
