Introduction
Its shape is very similar to that of the Paraguayan, existing both yellow and white pulp. Its skin is fine and smooth, and it stands out for its flavor, very sweet and with an intense aroma reminiscent of nectarine. Its pulp is compact and juicy.
Origin
It results from a crossing of nectarine and Paraguayan.
Properties
It is a fruit rich in antioxidants, which helps to strengthen the immune system. It has a high content of fiber and water, so it has a great satiating effect. They have a high magnesium content, so they help regulate the nervous system. They are beneficial for the good condition of the skin thanks to their content of vitamin C and antioxidants. Finally, they provide calcium and phosphorus, essential for the good condition of bones and teeth.
Consumption
They can be eaten raw, or added to desserts, jams, fruit salads or cakes. It is recommended not to let it ripen too much, given how sweet it is already.
Conservation
Platerina is perfectly preserved in a cool and refrigerated place for several days. It is advisable to let them mature at room temperature, and then keep them in the refrigerator.
