Introduction
Fruit of the coconut palm, also called tree of life or of heaven. The coconut is a product from which all its parts are used. Origin
Some authors place its origin in India, and others in America. Currently, coconut production extends throughout the tropics, always on the seacoast.

Consumption
Coconuts are an important ingredient in exotic cuisine. Coconut milk or water, which is sweet and provides a sensation of freshness, is used as a refreshing drink and as a complement in fruit salads of exotic products, stews, ice creams and desserts.
